GDDKiA and the Aldesa Construcciones consortium have signed a contract for the construction of a section of the Księżyno-Białystok Południe expressway. The contract value is PLN 456.14m. This piece of S19 will be commissioned in 2024.

The contract covers the construction of an almost 8-kilometer section of the expressway – two roadways with two lanes in each direction (adapted to heavy traffic) from the Księżyno junction to the Białystok Południe junction and a section of the national road No. 65 from Grabówka – a two-lane 1.1 kilometer long – to the intersection with the existing poviat road 1484B and then a 12.6 km section of one road with one lane in each direction until it is incorporated into the existing DK65 near the town of Grabówka. In addition, under the contract, the contractor will prepare a reserve for the second road from the intersection of the DK65 road with the existing 1484B district road to the intersection with the existing national road No. 19 (km 6 + 944). Under the contract, 24 engineering structures will be built, including 14 passages for animals, and the Białystok Południe communication junction will be built. The contract provides for obtaining ZRID in the second quarter of 2022, and construction work should start in 2022 and end in 2024. The offer of the consortium led by Aldesa Construcciones Polska (AC S.A. also belongs to it) was the most advantageous. The contract value is PLN 456.14 million.

The S19 route is a key expressway for the development of eastern Poland and the eastern part of the European Union, which will have a total length of 600 km. It is one of the most important expressways in Central Europe, connecting the Baltic Sea with the Aegean Sea. The commissioning of the route in Poland is planned for 2025.

Aldesa is currently the general contractor of two sections of the S19 Lublin – Rzeszów expressway, i.e. the Kraśnik bypass and the Lublin – Niedrzwica Duży section.
