Aldesa secures contract to upgrade and maintain 380 km of roads in Peru
Aldesa has been awarded a contract to manage, upgrade, and maintain 380 kilometers of Corridor Road No. 41 in Peru, which spans the Moquegua department in the country’s south. The project is valued at nearly 128 million euros (518 million Peruvian soles). The contracts were granted under the Proregion Plan, launched by the Ministry of Transport and Communications through the Provías Descentralizado unit, which aims to develop a competitive regional transportation system connecting agricultural production centers with major cities and ports.
The awarded contracts, Vial nº 41 Sector A and Vial nº 41 Sector B, valued at 62.8 million and 65.1 million euros respectively, cover two road sections of 189 and 191 km. Over six years, Aldesa will focus on road surface upgrades, bridge maintenance, emergency response, and vehicle weight control, all aimed at enhancing road safety and reducing transportation time and costs, directly benefiting over 7,000 residents of the area.
These projects in Peru mark another significant expansion of Aldesa’s Latin American portfolio. With over 50 years of experience in infrastructure projects, Aldesa’s key projects include the maintenance of the Tuxtla Gutiérrez-San Cristóbal de las Casas and Arriaga-Ocozocoautla highways in Mexico, management of Route No. 5 Talca-Chillán in Chile, and the construction of the Pardo 200 complex in Lima.
