Aldesa - Aldesa signs contract for the construction of the S17 Piaski – Łopiennik expressway section

On September 27, 2024, in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure, Dariusz Klimaczak, a contract was signed for the design and construction of over 16 km section of the S17 expressway between Piaski and Łopiennik. The project, valued at approximately PLN 810 million, will play a key role in the development of infrastructure in the Lublin region.

The contract was signed between the consortium of Aldesa Construcciones Polska and Aldesa Construcciones, represented by the General Manager, Rafał Kański, and the Lublin branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), headed by Janusz Pachla.

The project involves the construction of a new section of the S17 expressway parallel to the existing national road No. 17. As part of the investment, the Piaski Wschód interchange will be rebuilt to connect the S17 with the S12 Piaski – Dorohusk route, and three new road interchanges will be constructed: Piaski Południe, Fajsławice, and Łopiennik. The aim is to improve traffic flow and safety in the region.

The construction of this section of the S17 is not only a significant challenge for us but also a testament to the trust placed in our previous projects. With this project, we will significantly contribute to the development of infrastructure in the region.” said Rafał Kański, General Manager of Aldesa. “We face intensive work ahead, but thanks to the commitment of the entire team, we are ready to meet this challenge” he added.

The new section of the S17 expressway will consist of two lanes, service roads for local traffic, engineering structures, a drainage system, and lighting at interchanges. The project will also include the installation of environmental protection devices, such as noise barriers and wildlife crossings, as well as the implementation of an advanced traffic management system. The Piaski – Łopiennik section is part of the larger S17 expressway project, connecting Piaski with Hrebenne.
