Aldesa to build an express road between Piaski and Łopiennik!

Aldesa - Aldesa to build an express road between Piaski and Łopiennik!

The consortium of Aldesa Construcciones Polska (leader) and Aldesa Construcciones has won the tender for the design and construction of the 16.6 km-long Piaski – Łopiennik section of the S17 expressway. The value of the contract is approximately PLN 810 million.

After a re-evaluation of the bids, carried out on behalf of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), the bid submitted by the Aldesa consortium was considered the most advantageous of the 11 submitted. Earlier, in May 2024, Intercor’s bid of PLN 695.5 million was selected as the most advantageous. However, following appeals by participants in the tender, the National Board of Appeal ordered a re-evaluation and examination of the bids, which ultimately led to the selection of the proposal from Aldesa.

It will follow a new route, along the current national road No 17, starting at the Piaski Wschód junction, which will be rebuilt to connect the S17 road with the S12 Piaski – Dorohusk route. Three new road interchanges will be built as part of the project: Piaski Południe, Fajsławice and Łopiennik.

We are pleased that as the contractor for the contract for the design and construction of the Piaski – Łopiennik section of the S17 expressway, we will once again be able to contribute to the development of road infrastructure in the Lubelskie Voivodeship. – said Rafał Kański, the COO of the Aldesa Construcciones Polska. – I would like to congratulate the entire team of the tendering department and the road division, who were involved in the entire process related to the winning of this contract. A short moment to rejoice in the success and we proceed with our work! – he concluded.

he newly constructed section of the S17 expressway will be a two-lane route with roads to serve local traffic, engineering structures, drainage and road lighting within the interchanges. The investment also includes the installation of environmental protection devices, including noise barriers and the construction of animal crossings. A traffic management system will also be implemented.

The Piaski – Łopiennik section is part of the expressway between Piaski and Hrebenne with a total length of 125 km. Currently, three sections of the S17 from Zamość towards Hrebenne are under construction. The entire project is being carried out under the ‘Design and Build’ formula.
