Proacon wins a €13 million subway works project in Mexico
Proacon, Aldesa’s subsidiary specializing in tunnels, has been awarded the construction works for the “PCT-1 and PCT-2 Shafts” in mine 8 of the Pasta de Conchos Mining Unit in the state of Coahuila, in Mexico. The contract, valued at 13 million euros (309 million pesos), has been awarded in a joint venture by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).
The scope of the project includes the construction of platforms, the foundation slab and curbstone, subway excavations and treatments in shafts, auscultation systems and civil works in ventilation galleries, as well as the interior bulkhead, in addition to the supply of support installations. The works are expected to take 14 months to complete.
Proacon has been offering innovative solutions in subway works projects, soil mechanics and special foundations for more than 20 years, which translates into nearly 80,000 meters built. It has executed strategic projects in the field of transport infrastructures such as the execution of railway tunnels (high speed, urban subway, etc.), roads, open pit works (shafts, earthworks, etc.) and mining operations.
