The Marina Salinas achieves the Blue Flag Distinction
Marina Salinas has been recognized for its environmental efforts with the international Blue Flag Distinction, granted in Spain by the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC). Considered one of the most modern and best equipped marinas on the Mediterranean, Marina Salinas joins the ranking of ports that stand out for their protection of the marine environment worldwide, a total of 732 in the 2022 edition.
Water quality, environmental management, safety, services and accessibility were the main criteria that Marina Salinas met in order to obtain the Blue Flag. The facilities, with a surface area of more than 130,000 m2, make up one of the largest ports in the Valencian Autonomous Community, in eastern Spain, and are among those with the largest number of moorings in the area – 724 units – for boats of between 8 and 35 meters in length.
Operated by Aldesa under concession for more than a decade, the Marina Salinas is in line with the principles of environmental protection and preservation that guide the entire Group. In fact, Aldesa holds the Environmental Management certificate in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard, which ensures compliance with applicable environmental legislation and regulations, as well as the use of processes that prevent, reduce and control pollution.
